Vincennes Lincoln High School beat South Knox 4-3 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three in the top of the seventh when Emma Cunningham singled, scoring one run. South Knox were the first to get on the board in the second when Kadie Lafferty doubled, scoring one run. Grace Archer doubled to center field, which helped Vincennes Lincoln High School tie the game at one in the top of the third. A single by Braelyn Gladish gave South Knox the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth. Lexi Bailey laid down a sacrifice bunt, which helped Vincennes Lincoln High School tie the game at two in the top of the fifth. Vincennes Lincoln High School took the lead in the top of the sixth. Grace Archer hit a solo home run to center field, to give Vincennes Lincoln High School the upper hand, 3-2. Braelyn Gladish singled, which helped South Knox tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth. Jaclyn Miller earned the win for Vincennes Lincoln High School. The starting pitcher allowed 12 hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Kenna Rehwald took the loss for South Knox. The starting pitcher went seven innings, surrendering four runs on four hits, striking out four and walking three. Grace Archer drove the middle of the lineup, leading Vincennes Lincoln High School with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. South Knox amassed 12 hits in the game. Braelyn Gladish set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading South Knox with three hits in four at bats. Maycie Linneweber, Lorelai Davis, and Kadie Lafferty each collected multiple hits for South Knox.
