Lauren Story placed 3rd in the long jump and 6th in both 100 and 200, running a personal best in the 200. She consistently shows up to compete and has balanced the highschool's theatre production this spring with track. I'm proud of her for putting in the work, on top of other commitments, to come out and compete well amidst tough competition. She had a great meet and is looking ahead to peak at our sectionals. Kaylin Ozment and Olivia Johnson have both been training hard and ran personal bests in the 2 mile, both reaching their goal for the meet. I am proud of their solid effort and focus to set a goal and put in the work to get there. Kaitlyn Johnson ran a personal best in the mile (6:02). She is another athlete that has trained consistently well with a positive attitude all season; it's great to see her consistency and work ethic shedding seconds from her times. She and Lillian Marley placed 7th and 8th, respectively, in the 800. Alivia Eaton placed 7th in the discus and has been a consistent point-scorer for the team all season. Overall, we have several individuals that are competing especially well as we enter into the final phase of our season. I am looking forward to the next two weeks of training these fun athletes; they are a great group of girls really putting in the work to rebuild a competitive track culture here at Lincoln. Team place was 7th at Mt. Vernon Invite
