Lincoln boys soccer opened their 2026 regular season with a decisive win against conference opponent Owen Valley. The team opened up the scoring on a penalty kick scored by Claudson Thomas near seventh minute after he was fouled in the box by the Owen Valley goalkeeper. The Alices would go on to score 9 goals in the first half and add 6 more in a condensed second half to end with a score of 15 to 0. Junior, Gera Silva, lead the way with four goals and two assists. Senior, Claudson Thomas, also put in four goals and an assist. Senior, David Ramirez, would score 2 goals himself and provide an assist. Junior, Cooper Barekman, would also score 2 goals and contribute an assist. Sophomore, Calvin Doggett, would tally a goal and an assist. Freshmen players, Amari Sauveur and Cayden Trueblood would each score a goal, making it the first official goals of their high school soccer careers. Sophomore, Levi Klingler, would provide three assists from his position in the midfield. The Alices tallied 27 shots, scoring 15 of those looks. A strong defensive back four, Carson Heiden, John Martin Beam, Grant Richardville, and Atticus Keller, along with our starting defensive mid, Jude Clark, kept Owen Valley from creating any real chances to even test goalkeeper, Landon Telligman, a junior on the team. Man of the Match honors went to Gera Silva in the opening game of our 2026 season. The Alices have a week to prepare and look towards their next game, a home field match with Mt. Vernon next Saturday, August 22.
