The Lady Alice's soccer team won their first-ever game in the WIC 5-3 thriller vs the West Vigo Vikings and improved their season record to 4-0. The Lady Alices would strike first with an Olympico goal from Brylee Quinett. JJ Riggs would score the 2nd goal 10 minutes later off of a Sophia Cleghorn assist. West Vigo would get one back 5 minutes before half-time. Lucy Wisley would go on an adventure from left back and create a chance for Sophia Cleghorn 2 minutes later to give the Alices their 2-goal cushion for the rest of the 1st half of play. JJ Riggs (assist) and Brinley Catt (goal) came out of the halftime break ready to go, as Catt picked up a goal 3 minutes into the 2nd half. West Vigo would score 2 minutes later, and the Alices saw their 3-goal cushion cut back to 2. The Vikings got another goal with 15 minutes left in the 2nd half. Sophia Cleghorn would score a goal 1 minute later, giving the Lady Alices back their 2-goal cushion. The Lady Alice defense would close things out for the final 15 minutes, playing with grit and determination to keep their goal protected. We're back at home tomorrow night with a 7 pm kickoff vs. conference opponent Owen Valley.
