Lincoln Volleyball Goes 2-1 at Reitz Invitational

The Lincoln Volleyball team went 2-1 on the day at the Evansville Reitz Invitational, improving their record to 4-2 on the season. They lost their first match of the day to Heritage Hills 25-23 and 25-21. The Alices bounced back to be Reitz in three, 15-25, 25-23 and 18-16. They won their final match of the day by defeating Southridge 27-25 and 25-18. "Today, we battled, and I know I have said that word a lot this season, but these girls continue to fight no matter the deficit," commented Coach Ballinger. "Every match is a team effort. Looking at our stats everyone is contributing and in most games our kills are spread out evenly amongst hitters, making it difficult for teams to defend our offense." "It has been a long week for these girls and I am extremely proud of them," added Ballinger. "Today they played in a hot gym to finish off our opening week of six matches and I know they are tired, but we are ready to get back and fix up a few things before we open conference play."
