Vincennes Lincoln High School

The Lincoln Lady Alices took the win on Saturday against Evansville Harrison 2-1. Both teams came to play and didn't back down. Our team came together and helped one another out to keep them offsides just shy of 10 times. The girls were quick to recognize when their teammates needed help and covered for one another without question. Kenzie Doerner is in the spotlight for reaching us our 2 goals. Kenzie made a point to never give up on the ball while pushing through their defense to get her shots on the goal. We had several other girls who contributed to shots at the goal. Tiah Riggs had 5 shots, Brylee Quinett had 2, Maddy Mitchell 2, JJ Riggs and Alivia Deckard both had 1 each. Our goalie Aaliyah Kohlhouse was a force to be reckoned during the game. She saved 23 shots on goal between both halves. Aaliyah was tough and ready for the challenge with each shot she saved. This was a big win for us and help shaping how the rest of the season will go for us. Last year we were defeated by Harrison, so it feels good to get that back this year.
