The Lincoln Volleyball Team downs Washington in five sets (21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15, 15-11). The Alices pulled away with the victory after being down 0-2, going into the third set, taking sets three and four. During the fifth set, the Alices were down, 9-3 before coming and taking the match. "This team fights, for every point, set, and match," commented Coach Ballinger. "Even during the fifth set, they took it one point at a time and hustled after every ball. There were many positive takeaways from this match, but our offense ran smoothly and during the last three sets, the defense was able to adapt to their hitters." "This team (Washington) is much improved and will cause many other teams problems. They have great core players, and it took us a second to be able to adjust to their hitting and style of play. I am proud of these girls and their determination to get the job done."
