Lincoln Boys Soccer took a look this evening to conference opponent, Jasper, 4-1. The boys played a competitive game but allowed a few defensive missteps and Jasper took the opportunity. Senior, Lucas Klingler, put the Alices on the scoreboard finishing a penalty kick in the 79th minute. Paxton Smith had an impressive that is not defined by the final score. Paxton has had an impressive season thus far, making saves that would be a challenge for lesser players and always earn celebration by his teammates. He ended the night with seven saves. Man of the Match honors for the night went to Levi Klingler. Levi, a freshman, stepped in as a substitute in the first half and played excellent at the left midfielder spot. He worked to progress the ball and was a key part in creating some opportunities for the Alices to get shots on goal. The boys rest a few days before a Saturday matchup away at North Knox at noon on September 13.
