We had some competitive matches tonight. South Knox is young, but they have some athletic players and they really made us work for the win. I expect they will make some adjustments by sectional and will be a tough team to beat. I thought Mabry/Dayton played well together in their first match as a doubles team. Similarly, Connor was effective in his first singles match. I was happy with the way Burgess/Miller reset after a poor 2nd set to pull out the win. Our JV has been playing really well and the same is true tonight. We are looking forward to homecoming and then a busy Saturday with a varsity doubleheader in Evansville and JV tournament at Gibson Southern.
